ROYAL BOTANIA

Royal Botania designs iconic, luxury outdoor furniture for discerning clientele.

By only using the highest quality materials combined with top craftsmanship, Royal Botania produces sleek, striking furniture collections.

Royal Botania leads the world in creating stunning outdoor furniture for patios, pools, gardens and homes that is both stylish and sustainable.

OUR GOAL

In the early 90’s, luxury and refined design were limited to indoor spaces and very rarely found outdoors.

Our goal was to change that. We formed Royal Botania to create beautiful outdoor spaces.

Our inspiring journey over the years has allowed us to channel our creativity and strive for excellence. The end result is a brand that indulges in comfortable, well-crafted, and superbly made outdoor furniture.

I hope you will share in our joy and celebration of all things beautiful.

OUR TEAK PLANTATION

Due to its enormous stability, renowned resistance to the elements, attractive hue, and structure, Tectona Grandis – known as teakwood – is widely considered the ideal wood choice for outdoor furniture. At Royal Botania, we only select mature teakwood for our products, ensuring strength in our products.

We consider it our obligation to give more to the planet than we consume. Our dedicated team constantly monitors the full traceability of each piece of wood used in our production, ensuring a sustainable business practice.

In 2011, we set up Green Forest Plantation Co. and created a plantation with a surface area of approximately 200 hectares/ 500 acres. Between 2011 and 2014, over 250.000 teak trees were planted there, and are currently thriving. It is our mission to ensure future generations will also be able to harvest and appreciate this natural treasure. By creating a sustainable business model based upon regenerative forest growth, Royal Botania is able to produce finely crafted outdoor furniture with reduced environmental impact.

OUR PRODUCTION

To guarantee flawless products, we ensure every single step of the production process is done with attention to detail and a focus on creating quality, luxury furniture. This commitment to excellence inspired us to set up our own production plant in 2002, just outside of Bangkok in Thailand.

We employ over 400 people dedicated to making every piece to a high level of standard, worthy of the brand name Royal Botania. Under our 13.000m2 roof, we have concentrated a wide range of skills, expertise, and state-of-the-art machinery to make that happen.

By having our own production facility, we also have complete control over the working conditions. It is our conviction that people must feel appreciation for their work to be motivated and focused on their task. Love always needs to come from both sides. This belief inspires us to provide more than just a safe and healthy working environment. We also offer free meals and free on-site housing to many of our welders, weavers, grinders, technicians, quality controllers and assemblers. There’s also medical care, free English language lessons, sport activities, and even a kindergarten for the little ones. In line with our desire to create a company we can be proud of, Royal Botania, isn’t just a high-end furniture producer; it is a community dedicated to sustainability!

OUR DESIGN

Each Royal Botania design is based on three key elements: aesthetics, ergonomics and engineering. They determine the DNA of every single concept of our trendsetting design. Blending these ingredients together, while fine-tuning their balance, is our basic recipe to produce the best in outdoor furniture design.

With this formula, our in-house design team, led by our founder Kris Van Puyvelde, has earned international appreciation and won multiple design awards on both sides of the Atlantic.

Additionally, we engage the talents of carefully selected external designers, to broaden our horizon.

All this creativity has resulted in a wide range of charismatic products, known as the Royal Botania collection.
